Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to oversee Multifamily energy efficiency projects in Newark, handling scope, schedule, and budget in line with BPU orders and client procedures.

You will interface with clients, vendors, and consultants to ensure cost effectiveness and timely regulatory reporting while maintaining safety and compliance across projects. This role requires hands-on management of ECMs and related measures.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree plus 5 years of experience in energy efficiency programs, construction, or related fields.
• In lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience in energy efficiency programs, construction, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs per BPU approved programs.
• Interface with clients, vendors, customers and consultants to ensure program requirements are met and reporting is accurate.
• Develop and customize customer project proposals to maximize incentives and energy savings by combining program incentive structures.
• Coordinate and direct activities of business development, trade allies, and vendors; review vendor deliverables and invoices.
• Perform QA/QC on programs and projects; apply knowledge of energy savings measures to oversight.
• Must travel within Client territory to meetings and manage contractor relationships.
• Analyze data from multiple projects to monitor status and provide monthly forecasts.

Job Summary

Develop and maintain the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with requirements for the Multifamily program
Interface with Client associates, vendors, customers and outside consultants to assure the Program rules and requirements are maintained, the projects are cost effective, and the information needed for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely. Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required; Apply knowledge in energy savings measures and techniques to program and project oversight. Need to be familiar with residential and commercial energy efficiency program incentive structures.
Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customer satisfaction. Coordinate and direct the activities of vendors and contractors. Review vendor deliverables. Monitor vendor performance and review/process vendor invoices. Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices.
Compile and analyze data from various projects / sources to monitor the status of customer projects and report to management. Projects may include the installation of various energy conservation measures (ECMs) such as HVAC, lighting, motors, energy management systems, etc., as appropriate for the program. Analyze performance results for management reports; Provide monthly project status forecasts. Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as necessary.
During storm restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions outside of routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.

Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required; Apply knowledge in energy savings measures and techniques to program and project oversight.
Perform project site visits as required
Compile and analyze data from various projects / sources to monitor the status of customer projects and report to management. Projects may include the installation of various energy conservation measures (ECMs) such as HVAC, lighting, motors, energy management systems, etc., as appropriate for the program. Analyze performance results for management reports; Provide monthly project status forecasts; Must be proficient with working independently while maintaining and applying working knowledge of Client Standards of Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls.

Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices.

Job Specific Qualifications

B.S. Degree plus 5 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, or related fields. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience in the space of energy efficiency programs, construction, or related field
Experience processing milestone-based construction payments and forecasting financial spend
Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation, and cost
Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & MS Word)
Commitment to process improvement and attention to detail
Able to travel within Client territory to conduct meetings with customers, perform inspections, and manage relationships with contractors
Valid US driver's license
