Job summary

Willdan Group, Inc. in Southern California is seeking an Energy Efficiency Program Manager to lead the design, planning, and execution of one or more energy‑efficiency programs, driving impact for communities and agencies.

You will manage budgets, coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders, report on outcomes, and guide program staff to deliver high‑quality results while advancing equity and sustainability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience leading cross-functional teams in energy, local government, or consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience leading California energy programs and public procurement familiarity.
  • Knowledge of local and state energy regulations and procurement.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage one or more energy-efficient programs.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in public sector energy project procurement.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that encourages innovation and learning.
  • Develop SOPs, QA/QC, and continuous improvement for all program areas.
  • Provide guidance to staff and interns and manage program staff.
