Job summary

Eversource Energy, a leading utility company, seeks an Engineer to support energy efficiency programs in a hybrid work environment. You will analyze building systems, review plans for HVAC and lighting, and help ensure projects achieve verifiable energy savings.

You will collaborate with clients and third parties, perform energy analyses, and assist in training team members and coordinating program marketing activities. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC equipment, air handlers, pumps, motors and VFDs.
• Ability to review building plans showing HVAC, lighting and control systems.
• Working knowledge of local energy codes and energy efficiency programs.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; proficient with standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development of program and implementation plans for energy efficiency programs.
• Reviews technical parameters to ensure conformance with engineering standards and incentive rules.
• Performs energy analysis to determine energy savings for electric and natural gas.
• Provides guidance to ensure projects yield measurable savings.
• Supports inspections of equipment and operations aligned with savings calculations.
• Collaborates with third parties and customers for program implementation.
• Analyzes high efficiency HVAC equipment, motors, controls, and lighting to verify savings.
• Provides training and support for energy efficiency team and marketing activities.
• Supports participation in energy conferences and stakeholder events.
