Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineer to deliver technical analysis and support for energy efficiency programs in the US market. You will assess building systems, HVAC equipment, and lighting to ensure codes and standards are met while calculating energy savings.

The role involves developing program plans, inspecting installations, and collaborating with customers and third parties to drive measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, air handlers, pumps, motors, and VFDs.
• Ability to review building plans showing HVAC, lighting, and control systems.
• Familiarity with local energy codes.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and attention-to-detail.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Licenses & Certifications: EIT, PE, CEM or LEED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical analysis, advice, and support for energy efficiency projects.
• Participate in development of program and implementation plans.
• Review technical parameters and confirm conformance to codes.
• Perform energy analysis to determine energy savings.
• Provide guidance to ensure projects yield measurable energy savings.
• Conduct inspections aligned with energy savings calculations.
• Collaborate with third parties and customers for implementation.
• Analyze high-efficiency HVAC, motors, and lighting systems.
• Provide training and support for energy efficiency team and marketing activities.
• Support Eversource in national energy efficiency conferences and stakeholder events.
