Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Energy Engineer to develop energy, water, and greenhouse gas strategies for commercial real estate clients. The role requires strong data analysis, communication, and project management skills to deliver high-quality reports and client-ready presentations.

You will work with energy teams to drive decarbonization initiatives, coordinate with clients, and contribute to the ESG practice. Travel up to 12 days per month may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience developing decarbonization strategies—including energy efficiency, renewable energy, green power procurement, RECs, and carbon offsets.
• Comfort with data-driven tasks in Excel and other software platforms, including complex calculations and estimation methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Ability to lead internal and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of energy saving strategies and identify efficiency and emissions reduction measures for existing buildings using spreadsheets for energy/cost savings and ROI.
• Prepare preliminary cost estimates for recommended measures.
• Perform ASHRAE Level I & II Energy Audits in existing buildings.
• Support retro-commissioning of existing buildings.
• Provide consultation on climate control systems, energy modeling, data logging, and building automation.
