Job summary

Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking an Energy Intern to join the engineering and energy team and tackle critical water infrastructure energy needs in the ERCOT market. You will analyze data, design and review solutions, and contribute to multi‑task energy projects across water resources and power systems.

You will work with Power‑BI, SQL, and Python, gain exposure to energy hedge and day-ahead markets, and communicate results via reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Enrolled in accredited 4-year college or university majoring in engineering sciences, mathematics, data science, business information systems, or similar analytically focused field.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Less than one year of experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Using data to solve problems.
• Data analysis and modeling using Power-BI, SQL, and Python.
• Interest in energy markets and electric power markets.
• Operations optimization for multi-megawatt loads.
• Data analysis and presentation of findings to team.
