Job summary

Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking an Energy Intern to support the engineering and energy team in solving critical water infrastructure energy needs within the ERCOT market. You'll engage in data analysis, modeling, and review of solutions across water resources, hydraulics, and energy challenges, using tools such as Power-BI, SQL, and Python.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a STEM program, with a High School Diploma, and pursuing a 4-year degree in engineering, mathematics, or data

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Enrolled in accredited 4-year college or university majoring in engineering sciences, mathematics, data science, or similar analytically focused field.
• Valid Texas driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Multi-variate optimization
• Business process analysis/systems analysis

• Communicating solutions to others through presentations, emails, or memos
• Maintain familiarity with strategic District levels of service

Job Description Summary:

Salary: $18.54 - $27.82 per hour

As an Energy Intern, you will join the engineering and energy team to solve challenges. Our solutions enrich our communities and improve the quality of life. As an Energy Intern you will focus on solving critical water infrastructure energy needs in the transitioning ERCOT power market. You may calculate, study, design, or review solutions to our water resources, hydraulic, or energy challenges.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Less than one (1) year of experience Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Experience/Skills:

• Experience with Power-BI, SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools


• Completed statistics, data analysis, or business process management related courses


• Intern experience in energy management or data analysis

Required Education/Certification/License:

• High School Diploma


• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university majoring in engineering sciences, mathematics, data science, business information systems, or similar analytically focused field.


• Valid Texas driver’s license
