Scotiabank in Houston is seeking a Corporate Banking Analyst – Energy who will support analytics, credit requests, and industry analysis within a dynamic energy finance team.

You will perform financial statement analyses, assess risks, and assist in preparing annual reviews and credit decisions while developing sector expertise and product knowledge through structured training and assignments over 24 months.

Qualifications

• Undergrad/grad degree in Business, Finance, Science, Tech, Engineering, Economics or Math due by mid‑2027.
• Proven record of outstanding achievement in academics and extracurriculars.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Perform analytics functions – financial statement analysis and risk assessment with high accuracy.
• Identify and analyze key risks of existing or proposed clients/transactions.
• Analyze, prepare, and process annual reviews or credit requests per policy.
• Develop industry expertise for assigned sectors; build product knowledge.
• Complete other tasks; assist on special projects and research.
