Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) seeks a Commissioning Engineer to join our Renewables group. This role supports multiple utility-scale PV and energy storage projects across North America, coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and clients.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in engineering, strong analytical and communication skills, and willingness to travel extensively. Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards and SCADA is a plus; travel and site work are common parts of the job.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering or related field.
• Experience or knowledge in PV and energy storage preferred.
• Willingness to travel to project sites up to 75–100%.

Responsibilities

• Travel to project locations domestically, up to 100% as required.
• Lead commissioning activities for PV, storage, and substations.
• Review test procedures and coordinate with contractors and engineers.
• Develop knowledge of SCADA, controls, and power plant systems.
