Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid to senior associate or counsel to join its energy practice in Portland, Oregon. Duties
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including energy supply and operational contracts.
- Support transactions involving energy project development, financing, and asset sales.
- Advise on renewable energy credit transactions and energy market matters.
- Counsel clients on renewable energy, storage, and decarbonization initiatives.
- Collaborate on energy transition, infrastructure, and technology matters.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice in California.
- 3+ years of experience in energy transactions or a strong commercial transaction background.
- Strong drafting, negotiating, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with energy regulatory frameworks and utility operations.
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Interest in emerging technologies and energy transition issues.
Education
- JD from an accredited law school.
