Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a project development engineer to drive engineering activities from site visit to startup and commissioning. You will conduct site surveys, benchmark current energy and costs, analyze improvement opportunities, and develop conceptual designs with cost estimates for capital and O&M components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years' of experience project engineer.
• Strong experience in AutoCad.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
• 3-5 years experience in the technical development of combustion related projects.

Responsibilities

• Site surveys and data collection on existing Client sites.
• Benchmarking of current site energy and operating costs.
• Analysis of opportunities for technical and operational improvements.
• Development of conceptual design.
• Costing of capital projects with and without external contractors.
• Costing of operation and maintenance components.
• Technical / cost modeling.
• Preparation of Technical Sections of Client proposals.
• Support Business Development with Client presentations.
• Interface with other Group experts, including within Dalkia France, Dalkia UK, Veolia Water North America, Veolia Environmental Services, Veolia Transport and external contractors and consultants, etc.
• Develop and manage external technical relationships with consultants, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, etc.
