Job summary

StoneX Group Inc. is offering a summer internship to support the Energy & Agriculture risk management desk. The program focuses on building client relationships, learning commodity markets, and developing risk management programs for producers and end users.

Interns will research prospective clients, perform market analytics, and learn econometric modeling while contributing to technology tools and dashboards. Requires rising bachelor’s students and authorization to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in energy or agricultural commodity markets through coursework, internships, or related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft-based applications.
• Experience applying AI tools to market research, data analysis, forecasting or workflow automation is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists consultants in researching and contacting prospective energy and agriculture clients, and helps prepare materials.
• Helps analyze client operations to determine market exposure, price sensitivity and financial risks.
• Conducts and learns market analytics, including fundamentals, technicals and hedge decision tools.
• Learns risk management processes and helps monitor trading risks and identify exposure.
• Contributes to risk mitigation and margin enhancement strategies under guidance of a senior consultant.
• Observes execution of futures, options and swaps that support risk management strategies.
• Helps maintain and analyze risk reports pertaining to trading activities.
• Assists with P&L reconciliation and position analysis for the trading desk.
• Builds knowledge of energy and agricultural futures and contract specs.
• Supports monitoring of trading activities to ensure policy compliance.
• Assists in econometric models for forecasting and presents findings to the desk.
• Learns to use data pipelines, dashboards and AI-assisted workflows.
