Job summary

FirstService Energy is seeking an experienced Energy Advisor to lead energy management initiatives for residential communities across the United States and Canada. You will work with property managers, board members, and operations teams to reduce energy use, lower costs, and improve building performance.

This high-visibility, client-facing role requires deep technical energy expertise, strong consulting skills, and the ability to travel regionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sustainability, environmental science, building science, or related field.
• Certifications in energy and building performance (CEM, EBCP, CBCP, LEED O+M, BPI Multifamily).
• 8+ years in building science, sustainability, energy auditing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional energy expert for energy management, sustainability, decarbonization, and climate initiatives.
• Analyze utility data, identify trends, and recommend energy and water efficiency measures.
• Conduct site assessments and propose upgrades and conservation strategies.
• Develop energy reports with savings estimates, ROI, and implementation plans.
• Present findings to property managers and boards, including evening meetings.
• Travel regionally to conduct field assessments and support project delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to advance client energy strategies and compliance.
