Job description

Job Title: Energy Advisor

Reports To: VP of Sales and Marketing

Pay Type: Base + commission

Location: This territory will primarily include NH and/or VT.

Our offerings include solar, battery storage, heat pumps, geothermal systems, EV chargers, and smart electrical panels. Read more about Sundial here. We are seeking a committed, results-oriented Energy Advisor to guide customers toward their ideal clean energy solutions. The role involves two main areas, and your specific responsibilities will depend on your skills, experience, and interests. Both sales-related skill sets are vital to our growth.

Prospecting Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Generate your own solar and battery leads. Proven results from past prospecting activities, preferably in solar or home improvement, are required.
  • Possess skills in two or more prospecting tactics such as grassroots organizing, partnership-building, event staffing, canvassing, referral programs, social media, or personal branding.
  • Availability for some weekend and evening work.

Sales Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Provide excellent customer experience from inquiry to post-installation.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and energy savings analyses professionally.
  • Become an expert in our products, services, net metering, financing, and solar design tools.
  • Maintain and grow a customer pipeline and referral network.
  • Some travel may be required.

Common to Both Areas:

  • Passion for clean energy.
  • Proven sales, prospecting, or business development experience.
  • Solar or home improvement sales experience is a plus; proficiency with CRM tools is desirable.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
