Job summary

CLEAResult Consulting Inc. seeks an Energy Advisor to work fully remotely, assisting residential customers with energy-efficiency projects by guiding eligibility, paperwork, incentives, and rebates.

In this entry-level, high-volume role you’ll analyze home energy reports, explain implications for comfort and bills, and stay in touch with customers for years. Training is provided, and strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of relevant experience; customer service or high-volume communication experience valued.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems (MS Office) and general technology.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Genuine interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, or helping customers; no specific degree required.
• Detail-oriented to resolve rebate and calculation issues.
• Patience and adaptability for longer, in-depth conversations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, ongoing support to homeowners and contractors via phone and email to support project conversion and contract compliance.
• Troubleshoot customer and contractor questions and provide guidance on program requirements.
• Complete rebate processing, calculations, data entry, and QA/QC documentation review with strong attention to detail.
• Accurately record customer and contractor interactions to meet program tracking and reporting requirements.
• Manage a steady, high volume of phone calls and emails independently in a remote setting, balancing and prioritizing both throughout the day.

We're looking for a talented individual to…

Join CLEAResult as an Energy Advisor! This is a fully remote, phone- and email-based role supporting residential, single-family customers through their energy-efficiency projects. You'll guide homeowners and contractors from initial eligibility through paperwork, program qualifications, and project completion, helping customers understand available upgrades, navigate incentives, and process rebates accurately.

This isn't a typical call center role. Conversations here go deeper, walking a customer through a home energy audit report, explaining what it means for their comfort and their bills, or helping them figure out next steps after a furnace or water heater goes out in the middle of winter. A single conversation might take five minutes or run well over an hour, and it's common for advisors to stay in touch with the same customers for years.

This is a true entry-level role: no building-science background is required, we'll train you on the technical side. What matters most is a strong customer-service instinct and the ability to manage a steady, high volume of customer interactions independently.

You are a great fit if you can…

• Travel occasionally (very infrequent, around twice a year) for local, optional in-person program or contractor events if you're based in the area.
• Communicate comfortably by both phone and email, balancing and prioritizing both throughout the day.

Exciting candidates will have…

• Comfortable navigating computer systems (i.e. Microsoft Office) and general technology is a must.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.

• Detail-oriented to resolve rebate and calculation issues.
• Patience and adaptability for longer, more in-depth customer conversations than a typical high-volume phone role.

Target Compensation: $22/hour

DOT Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
