Williams Companies in Houston is seeking an Accounting Analyst III to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information that supports business decisions. You will ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements while serving as a resource to internal and external customers.

You will identify opportunities to improve processes through technology, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major with a strong accounting focus.
• Minimum four years of accounting experience in the energy industry.
• CPA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting, and variance analysis
• Prepares, maintains, and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal and external customers
• Provides requested documentation and clear explanations to support audit activities
• Participates in small projects with minimal supervision and serves as a resource for less experienced colleagues
• Processes and analyzes significant volumes of financial and operational data, transactions, and issues
• Other duties as assigned
