Job summary

Nox Group in the United States seeks an experienced Energy Marshal to oversee and implement the company’s LOTO policies on construction projects. You will ensure energy isolation is correctly applied and coordinate turnover from construction to commissioning or the Client/Owner.

The role requires five years in electrical construction, a Journeyman license, NFPA 70E training, OSHA 30, and strong communication to align safety, engineering, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experience.
• Licensed Journeyman or equivalent experience.
• Experience with LOTO.
• Understanding of one-line diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to review equipment submittals.
• NFPA 70E trained.
• OSHA 30.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Energization Status and LOTO programs.
• Coordinate energization events: temporary power, first-time energization.
• Lead energization and SIMOPS meetings as project requirements dictate.
• Ensure proper signage, barricades, and safe work practices around live systems.
• Coordinate that equipment is ready for energization.
• Act as liaison between construction, commissioning, operations, and safety teams regarding work on electrical systems.
• Maintain a master energization tracker.
• Approve or stop activities involving live systems if unsafe.
• Collaborate with GC safety and Owner safety teams.
• Review CMOP/FTE procedures to ensure all LOTO points are identified.
• Review LOTO requests to ensure all LOTO points are identified for the scope.
• Regular audits of the LOTO log with Project Safety Superintendent.
• Order LOTO supplies (locks, tags, hasps).
