Job summary

AT Process Technologies seeks an experienced Lead Safety Officer to design and lead safety programs across its Waltham, MA R&D facility, Berwick, ME pilot site, and upcoming manufacturing site. You will be the senior safety authority for energetic materials operations, overseeing explosives safety, process safety, and occupational safety at scale.

Qualifications

7+ years of EHS or process safety experience in energetic materials.
Experience supporting explosives or energetic materials at a DoD facility or defense contractor.
Hands-on knowledge of relevant regulations (DoD, DESR, DDESB, OSHA, DOT).
Proven ability to stand up safety programs for a new facility or pilot plant.
US person able to obtain a security clearance; travel between sites.

Responsibilities

Build and own explosives safety program per DoD and ATF requirements.
Lead OSHA PSM program and manage PHAs/HAZOPs; oversee MOC and PSSR.
Oversee Berwick pilot site safety; coordinate with Engineering and Site Director.
Manage safety for energetic synthesis/characterization at Waltham facility.
Support safety for future manufacturing site and recommissioning.
Develop and train hazard communication, LOTO, PPE, confined space, hot work.
Coordinate with Logistics on hazmat storage and training.
Promote stop-work authority and a safety-first culture.
