Job summary

ERG is seeking an Energetics Manufacturing Engineer to support energetics manufacturing operations at the Naval Support Facility, Indian Head, MD. The role requires a strong technical background in chemical or mechanical engineering and experience in regulated manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of professional engineering experience in manufacturing/production.
• Experience in DoD, Navy, explosives, energetics or regulated environments preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, specs, and process docs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support development and improvement of energetics manufacturing processes and production operations.
• Analyze processes to improve efficiency, quality, reliability, safety, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to equipment, materials, and processes.
• Create, review, and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Support process development, testing, validation, and implementation of improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address manufacturing challenges.
• Ensure processes/docs meet engineering, quality, safety, and customer requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide engineering support.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
