Job summary

ERG is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support energetics manufacturing operations at the Naval Support Facility in Indian Head, MD. This full-time role requires a background in chemical or mechanical engineering and hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.

You will analyze processes, troubleshoot issues, and develop documentation to improve quality, safety, and throughput while aligning with DoD requirements and security considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of professional engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience in DoD, Navy, explosives, energetics, chemical processing, or other regulated settings preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret-level security clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support development, evaluation, and improvement of energetics manufacturing processes and operations.
• Analyze processes to improve efficiency, quality, reliability, safety, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to equipment, materials, and processes.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Support process development, testing, validation, and implementation of improvements.
• Review data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address delays and quality issues.
• Ensure processes and documentation meet engineering, quality, safety, and customer requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide engineering support.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and deliverables.
