Job summary

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. is seeking an Explosives Technician to support energetic materials development at Picatinny Arsenal.

You will join a technical team handling, testing, and developing explosive systems with strict safety protocols and DoD compliance. The role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and at least five years of mechanical experience with hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance.
• Drug and alcohol testing required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience and strong mechanical skills.
• Experience handling explosives, ammunition, or hazardous materials is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of DoD safety regulations for explosives is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE.
• NJ driver’s license required; government license is a bonus.
• Basic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Past or present military personnel are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle, store, and transport explosives, propellants, and pyrotechnics following safety regulations.
• Assist in setup and execution of explosive tests and experiments.
• Assemble, disassemble, and modify experimental explosive and ordnance systems.
• Perform diagnostic testing and record data with instrumentation.
• Operate and maintain equipment for mixing, handling, and testing energetic materials.
• Conduct pre- and post-test inspections and document findings.
