Bloomfield Arts & Crafts Studio in Edmond, OK is seeking a friendly Sewing Instructor for part-time hours. You will teach sewing to kids and adults, guiding them from basics to more advanced techniques using our curriculum and your own expertise.

Ideal candidates bring warmth, patience, and a passion for working with children. Schedule includes weekday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays, with approximately 10–20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Genuine love for working with kids and a warm, bubbly personality.
• Some experience with hand sewing and/or machine sewing.
• Ability to connect with students of different ages and skill levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, organization, and a collaborative mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative studio environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach sewing classes for kids and adults using lesson plans and your sewing expertise.
• Instruct students on hand sewing, machine sewing, and garment construction.
• Guide students from foundations to advanced skills like alterations and pattern reading.
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and fun classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and class updates.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sewing space.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth class operations.
• Help prepare students for the studio’s Triannual Showcase.
