Job summary

Mambo Seafood is opening a new Pearland location and is seeking energetic servers to join the team. The Server will greet guests, take orders, explain daily specials, and ensure guests leave happy.

You should be able to speak and understand English, work in a fast-paced setting, and handle payments using the POS. Spanish is a plus. Benefits include health insurance, flexible hours, meal discounts, and a professional work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to speak, write and understand simple English.
• Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
• Must have a Food Handler Certificate and be Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certified.
• Must be a team player and customer service oriented.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a professional and welcoming attitude while at work.
• Adheres to the Company's alcohol service policy, safety procedures and food and beverage policies.
• Answers customer questions and makes recommendations for all menu items.
• Takes customer food and drink orders accurately and promptly.
• Enters food and beverage orders into the point of sale (POS) system.
• Properly processes customers' payments and provides accurate change.
• Ensures the balance of the bank at the end of the shift.
• Handles customer complaints or problems in a positive, courteous manner.
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
• Completes all opening and closing duties and other server duties thoroughly and efficiently.
