Job summary

Mambo Seafood Restaurants is seeking a professional server to join our busy Houston area locations. You will welcome guests, take orders, present daily specials, and help ensure a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities include handling payments, operating the POS, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting service standards throughout shifts. Fluency in English required; Spanish a plus; food-handler and TABC certifications required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to speak, write and understand simple English.
• Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
• Must have a Food Handler Certificate and be Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certified.
• Must be a team player and customer service oriented.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a professional and welcoming attitude while at work.
• Adheres to the Company’s alcohol service policy, safety procedures and food and beverage policies.
• Answers customer questions and makes recommendations for all menu items.
• Takes customer food and drink orders accurately and promptly.
• Enters food and beverage orders into the point of sale (POS) system.
• Properly processes customers’ payments and provides accurate change.
• Ensures the balance of the bank at the end of the shift.
• Handles customer complaints or problems in a positive, courteous manner.
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
• Completes all opening and closing duties and other server duties thoroughly and efficiently.
