Job summary

Five Below is seeking part-time Sales Associates to greet customers, drive sales, and keep merchandise organized on the sales floor. You will handle checkout, restock, and assist customers with product recommendations to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The role requires a friendly demeanor, basic tech comfort with registers and devices, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. This is an hourly position with starting pay described below.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and handheld devices.
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly: Approach and acknowledge customers immediately, providing assistance and handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs: Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions: Inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: Address customer issues and use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: Regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and any customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
