Qualifications

• PhD in organic chemistry or related field; completed by appointment and within five years of completion.
• Experience in organic chemical synthesis.
• Experience with separation, purification and isolation techniques; capable of characterizing organics by IR, 1H NMR, and 13C{1H} NMR.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize novel N-containing aliphatic and aromatic heterocycles for energetic materials applications.
• Design, execute, document, and analyze organic reactions; isolate compounds of interest.
• Work independently and in a team; potential publications and collaboration on national security projects.
