The role focuses on characterizing organic compounds and polymers using advanced analytical techniques for safety, composition, and material properties. Responsibilities include executing research protocols, data analysis, preparing technical reports, and maintaining safe laboratory practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Foundational understanding of general scientific principles.
• Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art analytical tools and techniques.
• Experience with thermal stability analysis, microscopy, chromatography, spectroscopy, and physical property testing.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with diverse audiences.
• Must be able to work in a team-based environment.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze materials of interest to the U.S. Army and execute research protocols.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and researchers to support projects.
• Test, evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate equipment for material testing.
• Maintain inventory of consumables and chemicals for testing.
• Support acquisition of new equipment through market research and installation.
• Establish SOPs for safe operation of material testing.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data; verify data entry.
