Job summary

KidStrong is seeking a passionate Children’s Coach to engage with parents and kids, delivering brain, physical, and character development through our evolving monthly curriculum.

You will coach classes most weekdays with a flexible schedule, and opportunities to increase hours via private coaching. Prior pediatric coaching experience and CPR certification are valued, and you’ll work in a fun, energetic team environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
• Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
• Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
• CPR certified
• Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
• Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
• Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
• Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at the beginning of class
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading the class
• Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
• Ensure cleanliness of the center, including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors
• Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents
• Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system
• Complete training through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
• Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment
• Must be comfortable working “hands-on” with kids to ensure proper technique and safety
• Assist parents of students ages three and younger with class flow
• Attend monthly staff meetings for training
• Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Academy classes
• Must obtain certified status by HQ Training and Certification team
