Old Colony YMCA is seeking an Assistant Group Leader to help run engaging activities for school-age children at our Halifax location. You will work with Senior Leaders to lead games, crafts, and homework support, creating memorable experiences that foster confidence and social skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required (willing to train).
• Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
• Maintain safety and meet licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead games, sports, crafts, and activities.
• Be a role model, cheerleader, teammate, and friend to children.
• Help kids try new things, make friends, and build confidence.
• Maintain a safe, happy, and inclusive environment.
• Coordinate with team to keep activities organized and moving smoothly.
