Job summary

River Glen Haven Nursing Home in Ontario is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Housekeeping/Laundry Aide with experience in long‑term care to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be organized, able to multitask, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and infection control, with excellent customer service and a willingness to work every other weekend as required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 High School graduate required per Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act.
• Previous experience in Housekeeping, Laundry and Environmental Industry is an asset.
• Ability to work safely following company policy, procedures & established practices.
• Excellent Customer Service skills required.
• Must be able to work every other weekend as per current collective agreement.

Responsibilities

• Meet physical requirements including lifting and bending.
• Open communication with Supervisor and Environmental Manager to report challenges or issues.
• Cleanliness of rooms and areas; prevent the spread of infection through proper sanitation.
• Safe, effective use of equipment.
• Adhere to safety regulations when handling hazardous materials (MSDS).
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
