Qualifications

• Knowledge/experience with a variety of sports.
• Experience supervising children and adults preferred.
• Motivated, upbeat and dedicated to creating a safe, engaging and fun environment for the children and families we service.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with staff, volunteers and members.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated poise and professionalism when addressing concerns and interacting with people.
• Must also have the ability to take initiative and respond to a variety of situations while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and assist all Sport & Recreation programs and activities that are operating.
• Work with YMCA staff and treat them with respect. Maintain required certifications.
• Provide welcoming member service. Interact with members in a friendly, engaging and professional manner.
• Assist in providing a clean, safe and well maintained facility and equipment; report deficiencies.
• Assist in YMCA fund raising activities/events and engage with community organizations to strengthen support.
