The YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a Sports Attendant to assist the Program director in delivering exceptional member experiences and maintaining a safe environment. You will help with set up, equipment checks, and on-site supervision during games and events.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong customer service, and a positive, professional demeanor. Flexible hours including weekends and evenings are required to support programs and participant needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Customer service, organizational and communication skills
• Professional, clean appearance and great attitude
• Engages with members, co-workers, and volunteers in a positive manner
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks of equipment daily.
• Set up and break down equipment promptly.
• Assist supervising officials and participants at game sites.
• Respond to injuries with first aid and proper reporting.
• Ensure areas are clean and free of safety risks.
• Promote YMCA policies, programs, and events.
• Attend meetings and participate in events as directed.
