Job summary

Planet Fitness Middleburg Heights is hiring a Fitness Ambassador to welcome members, assist on the fitness floor, and promote club programs. No experience required beyond a positive attitude; the role trains on the job.

You will greet members, help with check-ins, and support a clean, friendly environment on a part-time basis. Great for a first step into fitness leadership and wellness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or fitness preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
• Passion for fitness and helping others; willingness to learn basic training techniques.
• Must complete fitness training certification (NCSF) and equipment training within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to perform a wide range of exercises, including strength, cardio, and flexibility movements.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (often 4-8 hours per shift).
• Capability to lift, move, and safely adjust fitness equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to and from the Middleburg Heights club

Responsibilities

• Greet members with enthusiasm and make everyone feel welcome.
• Be a visible, approachable presence on the fitness floor.
• Assist with check-ins, questions, and member needs.
• Promote programs, events, and club offerings.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and motivating environment.
• Build relationships — know names, celebrate wins, and encourage progress.
• Promote club programs, personal training services, and special events.
• Engage on the fitness floor to provide encouragement and support.
