Job summary

UFC GYM is seeking a dynamic Group Fitness Instructor in Murfreesboro, TN to lead engaging, safe classes and motivate participants of all fitness levels. You will plan structured sessions, select music, cue movements, and ensure proper form while fostering an inclusive class environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with group fitness instruction, high energy, and strong communication skills. This role involves administrative tasks, equipment setup, and promoting gym programs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of exercise science principles and safe training techniques.
• General understanding of anatomy and kinesiology.
• Experience with group fitness instruction, including music timing and cueing.
• High energy level and physical stamina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured, effective group fitness classes.
• Demonstrate exercises while providing clear cueing and smooth transitions.
• Educate participants on proper form, modifications, and contraindications.
• Ensure safe use of all equipment and enforce studio guidelines.
• Welcome and orient new participants.
• Motivate members and create a positive, inclusive class environment.
• Monitor participants and make real-time adjustments as needed.
• Arrive prepared and start/end classes on schedule.
• Set up and properly store all equipment.
• Accurately record hours in the electronic timekeeping system.
• Promote gym programs, services, and special events.
