Job summary

Youna LLC is seeking a bubbly, energetic companion for a 30-year-old adult male with Autism in the New York area. This position focuses on companionship, daily activities, and engaging social interactions in a non-clinical setting.

The ideal candidate enjoys arts, movies, walks, and creative activities, and is comfortable driving to outings. Prior caregiving experience is not required, but a positive, patient personality is essential.

Qualifications

• Personality is key; bubbly, energetic and engaging with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable engaging with an adult on the autism spectrum; patience and empathy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Spend quality time together and provide companionship.
• Watch movies and shows together.
• Play games and do arts & crafts.
• Go for walks and enjoy activities outside the home.
• Drive out for snacks, lunch, shopping, or simple outings.
• Come up with creative and fun things to do.
• Encourage conversation, laughter, and positive social interaction.
• Prepare simple meals or snacks when needed.
• Help make his day active, enjoyable, and engaging.
