Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana is hiring a Before School Recreation Leader to supervise and lead recreational activities for elementary school children at various school locations. This role requires close supervision, planning daily activities, and maintaining a positive relationship with children and parents. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and experience working with kids. The position offers a pay rate of $16.26/hour for 2 hours per day, starting as soon as possible for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary school youth in a recreational setting.
• College coursework in Recreation, K-12 Education, Early Childhood, Physical Education, or related field.
• Credential in School-Age & Youth Development or Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide close supervision creating a safe environment.
• Plan and lead various daily activities for children's development.
• Complete daily reports and communicate with the Site Coordinator.
