Experience Champaign Urbana is looking for a Substitute Recreation Leader to supervise and engage elementary school youth in recreational activities. This part-time role requires a High School Diploma and experience in a similar recreational setting.

The position involves daily planning of activities while ensuring a safe environment and positive relations with children, staff, and parents. Pay is $16.26 per hour, with a schedule of 3.25 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary school youth in a recreational setting.
• College coursework in Recreation, K-12 Education, Early Childhood, Physical Education, or related field.
• Credential in School-Age & Youth Development or Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide close supervision at all times creating a safe environment.
• Maintain discipline and enforce rules using appropriate methods.
• Plan and lead various daily activities which contribute to each child’s development.
• Complete daily reports thoroughly and submit these to the Site Coordinator.
