Job summary

Rita’s on the River is seeking an energetic Bartender to mix and serve drinks in our lively Tex-Mex venue on the San Antonio River Walk. You will engage guests, craft high-quality beverages, and ensure guests enjoy their time.

We look for experience, strong mixology knowledge, and excellent communication. Must be 18+, have TABC and Food Handler certifications, and be available Monday through Saturday; Sundays closed. This full-time role offers a vibrant team and riverfront atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience is required.
• Knowledge of mixology and drink preparation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have TABC & Food Handler's certification.
• Must be available to work Monday through Saturday (Rita's is closed on Sundays).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and professionally with a friendly attitude.
• Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Rita’s recipes and standards.
• Engage with customers, suggest drinks, and answer questions about the menu.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the preparation and storage of ingredients.
• Adhere to liquor laws and company policies regarding responsible alcohol service.
• Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
• Restock and replenish bar supplies and inventory as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, as well as maintaining the overall cleanliness of the bar area.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to create a seamless and positive guest experience.
