Job summary

Break Time Convenience Store in Savannah, MO is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run the store in the Store Manager’s absence, coach team members, and assist with store finances. Experience in retail is preferred, with strong leadership and teamwork skills essential to drive performance and ensure memorable customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with adequate transportation to/from bank
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Works well individually and in leading a team
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change and complete shift reports
• Ability to learn new concepts, use technical materials, and operate computer systems
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers
• Assist in daily store operations including reporting, banking, inventory, bookkeeping, and fuel management
• Support merchandising and promotion execution and ensure products are stocked and presentable
• Supervise shifts in the manager's absence and train new employees
• Maintain store cleanliness and observe required hours of operation
• Participate in cash, lottery, tobacco, and inventory audits and loss-control efforts
