Job summary

Nevada School District NCRC is seeking a Child Care Program Assistant to provide a safe, caring environment for children ages 4-12 in the after-school program. Responsibilities include supervising children, planning activities, homework help, and record keeping, with a focus on positive guidance and family communication.

The role requires high school diploma, background check, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and a clean background.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Complete a background check.
• Be certified in CPR & First Aid (or willing to complete training).
• Not be committed or convicted of child abuse or any crime involving physical harm to another person.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the program and maintain a safe, caring environment.
• Help with planning and leading group crafts/activities.
• Complete record keeping of activities and assist with homework/reading.
• Greet family members, complete cleaning activities and perform other duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with parents/teachers/coworkers and recognize when to seek assistance during challenging situations.
