Job summary

Eagle Ridge Academy is seeking an energetic After School Care Assistant for the Little Gryphons program at its Brooklyn Center campus. You will supervise K–2 students from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, create a safe and welcoming environment, and implement developmentally appropriate activities that balance structure with creative play and enrichment.

The role emphasizes strong communication with families, reliable attendance tracking, and collaboration with the Little Gryphons Coordinator and school staff

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must successfully complete all required school background checks and training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Little Gryphons K–2 after school program.
• Provide a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for all students.
• Implement daily activities that are engaging and developmentally appropriate for K–2 students.
• Plan a balance of structured activities, creative play, physical activity, enrichment, and supervised free-choice time.
• Establish consistent routines, expectations, and procedures that help students feel comfortable and successful.
• Build positive relationships with students and create a strong sense of belonging.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student participation and program information.
