Job summary

Howard County Public School System is seeking an experienced Endpoint Systems Engineer II to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of the district's endpoint ecosystem. You will drive automation with PowerShell, manage modern endpoint platforms (Intune, Autopilot, MECM/SCCM), and integrate systems via REST APIs to ensure a secure and scalable environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in enterprise endpoint management, with preferences for certifications and ITSM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Five years of enterprise endpoint management experience required.
• Experience with APIs, automation, and scripting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement complex endpoint solutions and remediation strategies.
• Design and maintain enterpriseEndpoint configurations, deployment, and lifecycle processes.
• Lead modern endpoint management using Intune, Autopilot, MECM/SCCM.
• Develop automation via PowerShell and other scripts to improve efficiency.
• Create ITSM workflows, forms, and system integrations.
• Use SQL to query data, generate compliance reports, and enable data-driven decisions.
• Integrate endpoint systems with enterprise platforms via REST APIs.
• Enforce endpoint standards for security and compliance.
• Troubleshoot complex endpoint issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate across teams on enterprise initiatives and vendor engagements.
• Maintain comprehensive engineering documentation and mentor teammates.
