Job summary

Archer seeks an experienced Endpoint Security System Administrator to administer ESS/HBSS modules and manage endpoint security across enterprise systems in a high-security environment.

The role focuses on policy enforcement, vulnerability management, incident coordination, and cross-functional collaboration with cybersecurity leadership to strengthen network defense. A Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in systems or security administration.
• Or a master's degree and 3+ or more years of relevant experience
• Or an associate's degree and 7+ or more years of relevant experience
• Or a high school diploma and 9+ or more years of relevant experience
• Proven experience administering Trellix/McAfee ESS/HBSS policies, modules, and ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).
• Strong background in endpoint protection, host intrusion prevention, rogue system detection, and security compliance auditing.
• Experience maintaining baseline configurations, patch management schedules, and security event logs.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and security administration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and administer Enterprise Security System (ESS/HBSS) modules and endpoint security capabilities.
• Manage endpoint policy enforcement, agent deployments, vulnerability scanning, and baseline compliance.
• Troubleshoot systems, monitor events, detect threats, and coordinate incident responses.
• Maintain baselines, agent repositories, and configuration management for security tools.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize network defense and security operations.
• Apply security updates, patches, and engine upgrades; verify baselines across assets.
• Recommend and implement continuous process improvements for ESS management.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Endpoint Security System Administrator to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Installing, configuring, maintaining, and administering Enterprise Security System (ESS/HBSS) modules and endpoint security capabilities.
• Managing endpoint policy enforcement, agent deployments, vulnerability scanning, and security baseline compliance across enterprise systems.
• Conducting routine system troubleshooting, event monitoring, threat detection, and incident response coordination.
• Maintaining system baselines, agent software repositories, and configuration management controls for security tools.
• Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams, systems administrators, and cybersecurity leadership to optimize network defense.
• Performing security updates, system patches, engine upgrades, and baseline verification across physical and virtual assets.
• Recommending and implementing continuous process improvements to streamline ESS management and operational security.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in systems or security administration.

• Proven experience administering Trellix/McAfee Enterprise Security System (ESS/HBSS) policies, modules, and ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).

• Experience maintaining baseline configurations, patch management schedules, and security event logs.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and security administration workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Trellix/HBSS Advanced Administrator, or CISSP.
• Prior experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise technical environments.
• Familiarity with DoD STIG implementation, vulnerability management tools (e.g., ACAS), and automated compliance reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary engineering teams in dynamic operational settings.

Clearance Requirements

• Must hold a current/active top secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
