Job summary

Mimecast Limited is hiring a Software Engineer I for the Endpoint Sensor on the Incydr Product Development team. You will implement features for Windows, macOS, and Linux agents, focusing on kernel-mode components and Endpoint Security extensions.

You will help build detection paths, inline enforcement logic, and production-grade observability while working across platforms and leveraging AI-assisted coding with verification.

Qualifications

• Experience building production software.
• Strong C++ fundamentals including memory management and performance trade-offs.
• Interest in systems programming on Windows, macOS, or Linux; kernel-mode exposure a plus.
• Ability to read and understand software architecture and make small, sound architectural decisions as scope grows.

Responsibilities

• Implement features and fixes for Windows, macOS, and Linux agents.
• Work at the OS boundary on kernel-mode components and Endpoint Security extensions.
• Contribute to detection paths and inline enforcement logic.
• Build observability, performance, and stability into production components.
