Job summary

Amtex Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Endpoint Engineer/Manager to own the strategy, engineering, and lifecycle of desktops, laptops, and mobile endpoints for corporate and branch users.

You will lead configuration, deployment, and management using Microsoft Intune, ensuring device enrollment, compliance, and application deployment while maintaining a strong security posture with Microsoft Defender. The role includes evaluating DaaS/VDI solutions, standardizing imaging and patching, and

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in endpoint engineering, desktop support, or end user computing.
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (device enrollment, compliance, app deployment).
• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint security (threat detection and response).
• Experience evaluating/ supporting DaaS or virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
• Experience supporting a distributed environment with multiple offices/locations.
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, and hardware/software procurement.
• Experience with Windows OS deployment, imaging, and patch management tools.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple locations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy, engineering, and lifecycle for desktops, laptops, and mobile endpoints.
• Lead deployment and management of endpoints via Intune including enrollment and app rollout.
• Oversee endpoint security posture using Microsoft Defender across the device fleet.
• Evaluate and manage DaaS/VDI solutions to support remote work needs.
• Standardize imaging, patching, and configuration management to reduce support load.
• Lead endpoint support and ensure timely issue resolution for HQ and branches.
• Establish and monitor support SLAs, queues, and escalation paths.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement for endpoint issues.
• Partner with security and infrastructure teams to ensure policy alignment.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, procurement, and onboarding processes.
• Own procurement, refresh, and asset lifecycle management including budgeting.
