Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Technology Services is seeking an IT Security Engineer to lead the Endpoint Computing team within Information Security. You will drive modernization of the endpoint estate, overseeing Intune, ConfigMgr, Jamf Pro, Citrix DaaS, and CrowdStrike across university devices.

You will manage four system administrators, align priorities with security strategy, and partner with IAM and identity teams on Entra ID/conditional access.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Experience administering enterprise endpoint management platforms (Intune, ConfigMgr, Jamf Pro).
• Experience with virtual app/desktop delivery (Citrix, VMware Horizon).
• Familiarity with EDR tools like CrowdStrike.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of four system administrators.
• Oversee Endpoint Computing (Intune & ConfigMgr) administration and policy.
• Lead the modernization toward cloud-native Entra ID–joined management.
• Coordinate Jamf Pro for Apple device management and Entra ID integration.
• Oversee Citrix DaaS environments and capacity planning.
• Monitor endpoint security posture and collaborate with Security Operations.
