Job summary

Princeton Theological Seminary is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage endowment tracking via Balance by EverTrue and act as the subledger for pooled investments, including gifts, earnings allocation and expense recognition, reconciling to the general ledger.

The role also covers grant budgeting and reporting and fixed assets, working with the Advancement and Bursar offices, performing data analysis, preparing audit schedules, and supporting annual audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Non-profit and endowment fund accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivots) and data analysis.
• Strong communication and integrity in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile endowment funds, ensuring consistency with the general ledger.
• Support grant budgeting, reporting and chart of accounts alignment.
• Manage fixed assets, capital project spending and audit workpapers.
