Job summary

The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for the Endowed Chair in Radiation Oncology, a tenure‑track leadership role spanning clinical care, research, and translational science.

The successful candidate will lead interdisciplinary programs, build extramural funding, and advance One Health and data‑enabled discovery across engineering, cancer biology, medical physics, and data sciences.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD, MD, PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree required.
• Eligibility for Associate Professor or Professor in a tenure-track role at University of Minnesota.
• Scholarly publications and independent research program experience preferred.
• Experience obtaining extramural funding from federal agencies, foundations, or industry.
• Excellence in radiation oncology clinical practice and teaching/mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop an independent, nationally recognized research program.
• Lead interdisciplinary initiatives across veterinary medicine, human medicine, engineering, physics, and data sciences.
• Secure extramural funding from federal agencies, foundations, and industry.
• Build collaborative infrastructure for translational and comparative oncology research.
• Advance technologies to improve cancer diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes.
