Job summary

The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine seeks an accomplished veterinary medical oncologist for the Perlman Endowed Chair in Medical Oncology. This tenure-track faculty position will provide strategic leadership in advancing translational cancer research, clinical innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of animal, human, and environmental health.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated record of scholarly productivity with peer-reviewed publications.
• Evidence of developing or participating in a sustained research program with potential for extramural funding.
• Established national or international reputation in comparative, translational, or clinical oncology.

Responsibilities

• Research (50-60%) and develop a high-impact, externally funded program.
• Establish collaborative programs across veterinary medicine, human medicine, public health and biological sciences.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams addressing major cancer biology and treatment challenges.
• Pursue federal, foundation, and industry funding opportunities and develop philanthropic resources.
