Job summary

The University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU SOM) Department of Family Medicine seeks an experienced researcher to fill the Green Edelman Endowed Chair in Practice-Based Research to advance primary care research in Colorado. This is a predominantly research-focused faculty position with potential for limited clinical work or teaching depending on background.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree required (MD, DO, or PhD) in a relevant field.
• Track record of extramural funding and research in practice-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Secure grants and contracts as PI or MPI in health services research.
• Prepare and disseminate manuscripts; present results to stakeholders.
• Foster collaborations across CU and external organizations to translate findings.
• Build and maintain relationships with clinicians and community partners.
• Provide mentorship to junior faculty, research staff, residents and fellows.
• Oversee project staff and identify professional development opportunities.
• Possible clinical service in primary care or specialty clinics as needed.
• Possible teaching in SOM or other clinical/non-clinical areas as determined.
